- What are cookies?
Cookies are text files containing small quantities of information that are stored on your computer or electronic device through your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari…), or through a Flash application. Cookies cannot run programs or introduce viruses into your computer; as they are just text or numbers, they are not capable of accessing personal information from your computer by themselves.
On each visit, cookies allow websites to “remember” and store information on your preferences to offer you a personalised, easier and faster experience. Cookies can play many different roles such as helping effective browsing between pages, remembering preferences and generally improving user experience.
The purpose is to continuously give the total number of website visitors, the type of internet browser (e.g. Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer) and the operating system (e.g. Windows or Macintosh) used by our visitors to thereby control the performance of our page, personalise and improve their online experience.

- What type of cookies does it use?.
Google Analytics, this is an analytical service for websites provided by Google Inc., a company from Delaware with their main office at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View (California), CA 94043, United States (“Google”).
Google uses _utma, _utmb, _utmc and _utmz cookies to analyse the browsing habits of users accessing their customers’ websites. These analysis cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and see how users move through the website, in order to analyse how users use the site and help us to improve how it works.
Although cookies are downloaded from the domain of the visited web, the information stored in them is collected and transmitted to Google so it can provide the analytical service. The information you provide Google visitors appears on aggregate and detail of each visitor is not displayed, but values as visitor numbers, percentages relate to the country of origin of visitors, operating system and browser used, duration of visit and number of pages visited, among others.
